Even the best material becomes leaky when seams pierce the structure of the fabric and thus damage it. By applying a seam sealing tape from the inside on the seam, the textile is reliably and permanently sealed again.

Especially very demanding functional textiles or laminates need a seam sealing tape that is always at least as light and elastic as the textile itself. Our seam sealing tapes from our own development seal even difficult cross seams and remain reliable even after several washes at 60°C or dry cleaning.

3-ply

If the tape is not applied directly to a membrane but to the overlying textile inside, one of our seam sealing tapes with textile backing is the obvious choice. The hot-melt adhesive used here has an optimal viscosity to sufficiently wet the area to be sealed along the seam, which means that moisture simply has no chance of getting into the inside of the garment. Thanks to our own development and production, we can equip almost all of our adhesive systems with individual fabric carriers. For example, by using the inner fabric of the jacket, the seam sealing tapes can be made to appear invisible.

When sealing shoes, multi-layer seam sealing tapes prove their superiority, as the textile backing mitigates mechanical stresses (e.g. due to friction) and protects the user.

Each of our seam sealing tapes can be equipped with a breathable membrane. The main function as a reliable sealing medium is complemented by the same breathability that the base material has. The exchange of moisture in the seam area is not blocked and the jacket or trousers can continue to maintain their function over the entire surface.

In the field of seam sealing of tarpaulins, tents, boats or awnings, we offer various aliphatic seam sealing tapes for outdoor use. The tapes consist of different layers of highly UV and weather-resistant adhesive materials. Use under extreme conditions, even over longer periods of time, is no longer a headache.
